Quality Care for Cancer Patients

In the spirit of care and concern for those left incapacitated by Cancer, the team from Quality Group International along with Chairman Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara visited al Amal Cancer Hospital at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha meeting patients of all ages to spread the feeling of affection and healing in the hearts of the patients.

The Chairman and officials from the social wing visited 63 patients in Al Amal Hospital and handed over the gifts to each patient. Around 150 gifts were distributed to the patients and the care takers in the hospital and they spent some quality time with these patients and wished them a speedy recovery. They got acquainted with the needs of patients and their concern about the family members in home land.

Company also provided resident permit to the son of a Bangladesh citizen named Ali Akbar who is under treatment for bone marrow. Son of Ali Akbar, Mr. Mohammed Sharif Husain Pinto will come to Doha end of this month to take care of his father. Quality Group and Chairman also extended their helping hands to Mrs. Fathima, who left from Al Amal Cancer Hospital couple of years before. Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara visited Fathima at her home in Kerala and granted 250,000 Rupees as a help to her daughter’s marriage.

Quality Group CSR Initiatives, the social wing of Quality Group focuses on conceptualizing and implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the Group. Since its inception, Quality Group has taken quite a lot of initiatives to foster Corporate Social Responsibility. The Group has always focused on catering to the expectations of the society and on giving back to the community in general and needy in particular.
The Group has set apart a certain percentage of their net profit for CSR activities every year and undertakes several welfare activities in different parts of India, Qatar and other GCC countries for the poor and downtrodden section of the society. Quality Support to Usha School of Athletics.

PT Usha India’s best-known women athlete and Olympian visited Quality Group International corporate office seeking aid to Usha School of Athletics. Jisna Mathew, who won silver medal in women’s 400 meters race in Doha Asian youth Athletics 2015 accompanied Usha. Chairman Mr, Shamsudheen Olakara, Retail group General Manager Mr. Aboo Navas, Quality Group of Companies General Managers Mr. Moideen Karalil and Sajeev Pushpangalam, Media Co-ordinator Ashraf Vazhakkad received the guests. ‘Queen of Indian athletics’ spend more than two hours in the Corporate Office and explained about her future projects and plans in athletics training. In return Chairman Assured financial support to Usha School of Athletics. Quality Group International is planning to arrange financial aid for fencing synthetic track at Usha School of Athlectics at Kinalur village, Kozhikode- -Chairman revealed. Helping Hand to Earthquake affected Nepal

In an effort to support the relief efforts to the earth quake in Nepal, Quality Group International has handed over an amount of One million Nepalese Rupees to the Nepal Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Company Chairman Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara, handed over the cheque to Mr. Mani Ratna Sharma, Charge D Affairs of Nepal Embassy in Qatar, during a function held in the embassy premises. Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara stated that it is as part of the social and humanitarian activities the company decided to make this contribution. He also declared solidarity to the thousands of Nepali citizens working under various divisions of the Company. “It was also a motive behind this initiative, the entire management and staffs of Quality Group are joining with the victims in this unprecedented tragedy caused to them and wishing a quick recovery from the sufferings’’- he said

Mr. Mani Ratna Sharma, Charge D Affairs of Nepal Embassy, said that the contribution of Quality Group to support the victims is really appreciable and let more of this kind of contributions and support flow to the victims in this needy time. Management representatives of Quality Group and Nepal embassy officials also participated in the function.

Donated One Million to construct a home for Subair’s family

Employees and management of the Quality Group International donated One Million Indian Rupees to construct a home for the family of their ex-colleague who died in Doha last December after a cardiac arrest. The Company Chairman Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara, handed over the cheque to Mr. Ashraf Madathil a close relative of the demised Subair Kolamban. Mr. Shamsudheen Olakara stated that it is as part of their social commitment and humanitarian consideration the employees and management decided to make this contribution, he also declared his solidarity to the family of Subair Kolamban. Group General Manager Sajeev Pushpamangalam, Quality retail section General Manager Aboo Navas, Quality group of Companies operation Manager Moideen K and Finance Controller Mins Mathew attended. 23 year old Subair Kolamban from Edarikkode, Malappuram District of Kerala was a sales man of Quality hypermarket, salwa road until December 2014.
